Guidelines for COVID-19:

  1. Wash your hands, wear a mask, and watch your distance!
  2. When washing your hands, use normal soap for at least 20 seconds. Wash your hands after returning home from work, grocery runs, gas stations, or any other public spaces.
  3. Wear your mask properly, covering both the nose and mouth. Avoid touching your face as much as possible.
  4. Sneeze and cough into your elbow crease every time you do, and not into your hands or onto others.
  5. Practice social distancing as a good patriotic American. 🇺🇸
  6. If you feel sick, stay home and call your doctor.
  7. Temper all social visits at home. If you are considered to be high-risk, try to minimize contact with others.
  8. Stay away from crowded public places, bars, and events with large crowds. Avoid discretionary travel or unnecessary social gatherings.
  9. When a social activity or gathering is cancelled, please do not go looking for the same activity or event elsewhere; it was cancelled for a reason.
  10. Avoid intergenerational visits, but stay in touch virtually. Try to stay away from nursing homes or retirement communities.
  11. Do not hoard groceries, medications, or baby supplies.
  12. Maintain a strict 10-14 day quarantine if you have been instructed to do so by your medical provider or other authorities.
  13. Avoid spreading any fake news or fake medical tips; when in doubt, the CDC should be your paramount source of information.
  14. Do not panic. This isn’t the end of the world, but it is close enough.

What we are doing:

  1. We are requesting all parents and patients to wear masks while visiting us.
  2. Well child checks are being limited to the mornings, with sick visits being scheduled in the afternoons.
  3. We are urging parents not to cancel their child’s well child checks. We do not want to trigger any secondary pediatric outbreaks of measles, pertussis, etc. by stopping vaccinations and well child check-ups.
  4. We have removed all books, samples, and high-touch items from our rooms.
  5. We have social-distancing markers at the reception desks.
  6. We are being extra-diligent in cleaning our reception areas, lobby, and rooms.
  7. We are attempting to limit the number of adults per visit.
  8. We have protocols and policies in place for screening for suspected COVID-19 cases.
  9. We are constantly keeping up with ever-changing CDC guidelines during these unique times.
